Fireside Chat with Joseph Gordon-Levitt: AI's impact in film and the creative industries, IGF 2025.


The 20th annual meeting of the Internet Governance Forum is hosted by the Government of the Norway in Lillestrøm from 23 to 27 June 2025. The Forum's overarching theme is: Building Digital Governance Together.

This fireside chat explores the evolving intersection of artificial intelligence and the creative industries. Hollywood actor, producer, and founder of HITRECORD, Mr. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, joins the IGF 2025 to discuss how generative AI is impacting artists, the future of creative work, and what governance approaches can help protect and empower creators globally. Through a dynamic exchange, the session will address critical questions around content ownership, regulation, collaboration, and the role of multistakeholder communities in shaping a digital future that supports both innovation and artistic integrity. The session will be moderated by Ms. Chinasa T. Okolo.
